From the EAE project Reconstructed Human Initiative, the Zatard Hound emerges as the first fully operational combat unit—an advanced semi-mechanized weapon born from directed bio-fusion engineering.

Developed under the “A010” biological substrate program, the Zatard Hound’s prototype was based on a native canine species from Zatard Island. Through targeted neural and muscular integration, its biological framework was fused with controlled mechanical enhancements, resulting in a unit that balances natural instinct with precise tactical controllability. The outcome is a hybrid weapon platform combining organic adaptability with engineered combat efficiency.

Following the outbreak of the Insect Calamity, the Zatard Hound was rapidly deployed to the Ferasierre region. Its enhanced sensory systems and superior mobility dramatically improved hunting efficiency against small- to mid-scale, stealth-type experimental entities. Beyond direct combat, the Hound units also function as distributed sensor nodes.

Embedded bio-signal relay devices allow the entire pack to operate as a real-time, dynamic surveillance network. This integrated system provides tracking and monitoring capabilities far beyond what conventional equipment can achieve, establishing the Zatard Hound as both hunter and living reconnaissance infrastructure on the battlefield.
